On June 18th a group of families and staff planted 19 trees in our “Back 40” area of the playground. Money to complete this project was collected from donations bt many of our families and staff members. Thanks so much to all who donated and all who came out to plant. Several families planted trees in memory of family members who had passed away while others did it as a memory of their child’s time at Discovery. With a lot of support from Green Drop who helped us pre-dig the holes (free of charge) we managed to not only plant 19 trees but also move 6 yards of wood mulch and enjoy a BBQ in the back courtyard all in about 2 hours. Here are some pictures to help us remember the event. I’m so very proud of the support we received and I know the children in our Centre will enjoy the result of this project for decades to come.
