Discovery Centre has been blessed to have many staff spend  decades of their career at our centre.  We do not take this low rate of staff turn-over for granted, as we know that this is a key element of the high quality care and education we offer children and their families.  We employ about 50 staff and believe that by employing the right staff, including male, female, trained, untrained, younger and older we can offer children a very high quality of early years experiences.

We are an outward looking centre who seeks to make the world a better place for not only our own children but for children beyond the reach of our centre as well.  We have been blessed and inspired by many international leaders in early childhood education and continue to look for ways to have this learning continue.  This has led us to offer staff opportunities to travel to other regions of Canada and at times internationally, as we seek to give opportunity to our staff as they continue their wonderful journey of continuing education.

Salaries and benefits could be characterized as similar to those of other Manitoba centres.  As proud members of the Manitoba Child Care Association we offer our staff a high quality Health Benefit plan including short and long term disability, dental and eye glasses coverage.  We are also very pleased to offer our staff a Pension plan which is presently co-sponsored by the Government of Manitoba.
